Post Earthquake Imagery for Haiti

Google has announced that post-earthquake imagery is available to download as a KML file.  The new imagery was taken at around 10:27am EST on January 13th, 2010 and covers the Port-au-Prince area of Haiti.

For those that don’t or can’t view the file in Google Earth, the new imagery can also be viewed in Google Maps.

Google plans to update the imagery as it becomes available and changes will be automatically reflected in this KML. The imagery was acquired by Geo-Eye.

The sample imagery below provided by Google shows the before and after of a section of downtown Port-au-Prince. The imagery on the right taken post-Earthquake shows the intensity of the damage caused by this disaster.
