GIS Women Discussion Group
An open forum for members of the GIS community to communicate with one another on a personal and professional basis. Though specifically for women in the field, membership is open to all those interested.

ICA Task Force on Women in Cartography
1991 reported prepared by the International Cartographic Association (ICA) on the presence of women in cartography.

Oregon Urisa’s Women in GIS Chapter
The mission statement is “Promote and enhance the personal and professional careers of women in the field of Geographic Information Systems.”. Find information about meetings, projects and resources.

Society of Women in GIS (SWIGIS)
Official website for the Society of Women in GIS (SWIGIS) a group created in response to the need for an organization for women employed or studying geographic information systems (GIS).

Supporting Women in Geography and GIS (SWIGGIS)
Based in Austin, Texas, SWIGIS is an “organization of female geospatial professionals dedicated to the awareness, education and participation in geography and GIS.” Members can participate in social and educational events in the Austin area.
