Google Earth 4.3
The release of Google Earth 4.3 brought about some new changes in the user experience of this global data viewer. Users now have an easier way to navigate with scale dependent navigation controls. When navigating at a small scale, the standard pan and zoom controls are available to the user. At the larger scales more “joystick” type controls become available. More availability to imagery is also available with photo realistic 3D models for select cities, access to Google’s StreetView imagery and better metadata for when various imagery was taken. To top it all off, the new Google Earth release provides simulation of the sun. The Google Team has prepared a video to introduce users to the new features:
