Geographic Distribution of Avian Influenza
Asia has been plagued with the H5N1-type of avian influenza since 2003. Apparently, the virus has now also reached Europe. Russia, Romania, Turkey und Great Britain and most recently Kroatia have had occurrences. GfK MACON provides a map which shows the affected areas and which gives additional information on the number of animals and people infected.
