Fix locations on Google Map

Google Map recently announced the ability to edit location markers in a post on the Lat Long blog.  Now you can help properly place location markers and make Google Maps more accurate.  In keeping with the practice of creating tutorials, you can check out Google’s video on fixing locations.  The new editing capability is currently limited to the United States, Cananda and Australia and a Google Account is required to be able to move markers.

  1. Just a note, this does NOT work for Canada yet, I am from Canada, have a Canadian google account, was signed in and tried it but there was no edit option. Upon reading the blog post referenced:

“Move a marker, and make your virtual neighbourhood a better place — that is, in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand, where it works right now.”

Canada is not mentioned at all, so I seem to think the Canada will be added in the future but it definitely doesn’t work yet here.
